How to Easily Hide WhatsApp Channels on Android and iPhone

WhatsApp Channels is a great way to stay connected with the world, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re not interested in using Channels, or if you find that they’re clogging up your chats, you can easily hide it from view.
Meta has been introducing a lot of new features to WhatsApp, such as end-to-end encryption and group video calls. These features make WhatsApp a unique instant cross-platform messaging and calling app. However, the newly rolled-out channels feature has been criticized by some users because it makes WhatsApp more like a social media platform.
WhatsApp Channels allows users to receive the latest updates from their favorite celebrities and news portals without sharing their personal phone numbers. However, currently, there is no way to disable this feature.
You may want to hide WhatsApp Channels if you find them to be distracting or if you don’t use them.
There are two ways to hide WhatsApp Channels.
The first way is to reinstall an older version of the app. This will remove the Channels feature entirely. However, you will need to download the APK file from a legitimate source.
The second way is to move the Channels section to the bottom of the Updates tab. This will not delete the feature, but it will make it less distracting. To do this, open WhatsApp, click on Updates, and select View Updates. This will push the Channels section to the bottom of the page. If you have enough status updates on WhatsApp, this will hide the Channels section. Note that closing and reopening WhatsApp will reset this setting, so you will need to repeat the steps above to hide WhatsApp Channels again.
